What are Essential Oils?

Essential Oils (EO's) oils are the volatile liquids that are distilled from plants, including their seeds, bar, leaves, stems, roots, flowers, fruit etc.

Essential oils are the regenerating, oxygenating and immune defense properties of plants.  They are small in molecular size so the can quickly penetrate the skin.  They are also lipid soluble and are capable of penetrating cell walls.  Essential oils can affect every cell of the body within 20 minutes and then be metabolized like other nutrients.  They are powerful antioxidants as well.

Essential Oils (EO's) are antibacterial, anticancer, anti-fungal, anti-infectious, antimicrobial, antiparasititc, antiviral and antiseptic.

I have selected the doTERRA brand of essential oils not only for my own well being but also as the oils of choice to use in my practice here at the Studio Wellness Clinic.

Essential Oils applied to the soles of the feet are absorbed within 30 seconds into the blood stream.  a powerful and efficient way to reap the benefit of the oil.

Essential Oils (EO's)diffused into the air is the easiest and simplest way of putting a fine mist of the whole oil into the air for inhalation.  EO's when diffused, have been found to reduce the amount of airborne chemicals and to help to create greater physical and emotional harmony.  Direct inhalation is the simplest way to inhale the aroma of an essential oil in order to affect moods and emotions.
