Things that make you go AHHHHHHH!
There isn't much difference in the sound of AHHHHHH as in the scream of frustration and the sound of ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh as in the sigh of relief except the intonation and the energy level.
This week I experienced both. First I received a message that an email tome had bounced back and it was my business email. HMPH! Must be a fluke, hit resend and same results. AHHHHHH
Then my printer that I've been lovingly coaxing along stopped printing, spit out pages with no printing on it and then the last 10 pages curled up into a ball. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I had just paid for a website redesign, HST, booking expenses and other fees and now I needed new technology. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
So.....I called my techie and asked for a recommendation and to my astonishment the quote for the printer is a lot less than what I expected. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Off I go to buy it.
I now make a call to my business email carrier who answer my call within a minute, ahhhhhhhhhhhh to be told my email storage is full. I must clean out my email mailbox before I can receive anymore emails. Checking further I find that I haven't done this in 2 years, who knew?, and I have a lot of stored stuff I don't need. I begin deleting emails 50 at a time and clear out an entire year of old useless emails.
Now while I'm clearing email I hook up my new printer and get it set up for business. Test page, perfect. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
1000's of emails deleted and storage down from 105% to 20%. ahhhhhhhhhhhh
Later today I made a quick stop into Costco between meetings and don't I find the same printer I had just purchased for $60. less than what I paid. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
I get home, call the first store and "yes" they have a price match guarantee. So over I go with my receipt in hand to collect my $60. plus HST. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
We really do have up and down days with lots of AHHHHHHHHHHHHHhh's and ahhhhhhhhhhhh's but I've learned that as long as the ahhhhhhhh's out weigh the AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH's it's all good.
Now everyone take a deep breath and quietly go ahhhhhhh about something good that happened to you today.
P.S. Thanks to my friend Janice Kirwin a personal organizer who inspires me to get organized one step at a time. Working with her really does help you find more ahhhhhh's in your day.
